TimeSpirit at Macallan Review – Prix Fixe Dining With Whisky

TimeSpirit at The Macallan Estate in Aberlour, Scotland, is a unique dining experience in the heart of the Speyside whisky region. A partnership with the Roca brothers from El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain, TimeSpirit is a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. With a stunning dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the countryside, and a ten-course tasting menu with whisky or wine pairing options, there’s a lot to love here.

When planning Speyside whisky tastings before our trip to Scotland, we had initially tried to get in for a tour or tasting at Macallan, but everything was booked up well in advance. That’s when we noticed the estate’s relatively new restaurant, TimeSpirit, had openings. We booked a dinner reservation on a whim, not sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a very enjoyable and delicious evening full of delightful food, whisky, and wine.

Our adventure began on the island of Mahe where we stayed at the Hilton Northolme, also known as the world’s smallest Hilton (by room count).

Where this could be a negative for some hotel chains, Hilton does an exceptional job here with an incredibly intimate property and wonderful amenities!

How Much Does it Cost to Drive the Ring Road in Iceland

“Is it possible to drive the Ring Road in Iceland without spending a lot of money?

Iceland has a bad reputation for being an expensive country to visit, and this is an especially valid concern for those looking to make the long drive around the Ring Road.

Although it is true that Iceland is on the more expensive end of the spectrum, it does not have to break the bank in the process.

We visited for a 10-day Iceland Ring Road trip and had a wonderful time for about $3,000 for the two of us, excluding airfare.

Now, we know that this is on the higher side of things but thankfully there are many ways to get your spending down significantly beyond what we spent.

Today we want to share those with you.
