Before arriving to Agra, we didn’t know much about the city other than the famous monument, The Taj Mahal. 

In fact, we had only planned one night to see the Taj Mahal in Agra a because of reading so many stories about how little there is to see other than this star attraction.

But while the Taj Mahal is the most visited attraction in Agra, and likely all of India, there are others that we appreciated far more during our stay in the city. 

One of those was the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, what we consider to be the inspiration for the famous monument everyone comes to Agra to see.

Where to Stay for Christmas Markets – Colmar vs Strasbourg

When we booked our trip to Alsace, we admit that we were visiting the wineries first and foremost. But given that our visit coincided with the holiday season, we planned to spend a great deal of time at the Christmas markets as the region is home to some of the most famous markets in the world.

With the popularity comes the crowds, and Alsace was busy!

11 Distilleries to Visit on Your Scotland Road Trip

During our road trip around Scotland, we wanted to make sure to visit a good number of distilleries. Although we did not visit all of the popular distillery areas (like Islay), we did hit eleven great distilleries between Edinburgh, the west coast, and Speyside to name a few.

15 of the Best Seychelles Beaches to Enjoy Paradise

The Seychelles beaches are what dreams are made of- with white sand, crystal clear water, beautiful rock formations, and picturesque palm trees.

While this may seem like a wonderful thing, if you’re actually vacationing there, it can be a bit overwhelming to try to prioritize which beaches you want to visit.

During our two weeks in the Seychelles, we spent time on Mahe, Silhouette, La Digue, and Praslin, and we’re here to share our favorite beaches from these four islands. There are lots of different kinds of beaches – some are good for sun bathing, swimming, snorkeling, walking along and exploring, watersports, and the list goes on.

Here we will try to describe the features of each Seychelles beach so you can find the ones that are right for you!

Another point to keep in mind is the time of year that you visit the Seychelles – certain beaches have strong currents at particular times of the year, making swimming dangerous. Others have lots of seaweed during certain months. It’s best to do some research about the conditions during the time of year you’ll be traveling so you won’t be disappointed.
