Visiting Itimad ud Daulah Tomb – The Baby Taj Mahal in Agra

Before arriving to Agra, we didn’t know much about the city other than the famous monument, The Taj Mahal. 

In fact, we had only planned one night to see the Taj Mahal in Agra a because of reading so many stories about how little there is to see other than this star attraction.

But while the Taj Mahal is the most visited attraction in Agra, and likely all of India, there are others that we appreciated far more during our stay in the city. 

One of those was the tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, what we consider to be the inspiration for the famous monument everyone comes to Agra to see.

Looking for a World Class Indian Beach? Try These Three!

In the past few months, I’ve been giving Angie the reigns in planning our destinations as I figured she’d have stronger feelings on the types of places we visited in Nepal and India.

After getting screwed on train tickets in Northern India, and overall really wanting an Indian beach for the holidays ever since we did the Everest Base Camp trek, we agreed that it was for the best to skip out on the rest of Rajasthan and fly down to Goa and the coastal beaches for Christmas and New Years.

For this task, Angie had been charged with finding the best.

After her research had concluded, she told me that she was taking us to beaches that were considered to be some of the best in the world.  Being a bit astonished by this claim myself, I went along with it in hopes that she was right.

“World class beaches” and “India” in the same sentence? Well, after our time traveling from Nepal to India and exploring the north quite a bit, that was a sight I’d have to see to believe.

Discovering What it Means to be Human by Nature in Kerala, India

When you visit a destination, what memories do you walk away with? Are they about the landscape? The food? The people? Or a combination of it all?

During our visit to Kerala in southern India, it was most certainly a mix of everything. But in thinking about it, the human element that tied everything together was a prominent feature in every destination we visited.

When Kerala Tourism reached out and asked if we wanted to be a part of their Human by Nature campaign, to share our experiences with the human side of visiting Kerala’s natural wonders, we were in. In thinking back on it, the human element was truly a big part of our trip to the state!
