During my trip to find the best things to do in Tempe, AZ, I was given a few options to get out and see the surrounding nature. Considering the surrounding nature is desert (and I was visiting in February), I was all about it.
One outing was hiking Pima Canyon at South Mountain Park, but for my second outing I was able to do something a bit different- mountain biking at Usery Mountain Regional Park!
On our flights home from Uganda in February 2019, we were fortunate enough to be seated in a new class aboard United flights. Aptly named United Premium Plus, the seats are somewhere in-between normal economy and long-haul business class.
But are they worth it? We have some thoughts.
South Mountain Park near Tempe is a large, 16,000-acre park that just begs to be explored.
But due to the park’s immense size (it is considered to be the largest municipal park in the USA and among the largest in the world), odds are good you’ll have to visit this one time and time again to even begin to scratch the surface.
During my first visit to Tempe, I decided to play it safe and stuck to the portion closest to the city, known as Pima Canyon, and had a wonderful day out.
In this one, I wanted to share some of the best things that can be seen from the trails as well as tips for those visiting the park for the first time.
Southwest’s boarding procedure is an interesting one.
Rather than boarding in large groups at random, Southwest assigns specific boarding numbers to all passengers ranging from A1-60, B1-60, and C1-60 to board the planes.
This is done at check-in, and those who check-in 24 hours in advance vie to get a better boarding position than those who check in later in the day.
But there is an option for those who do not want the dreaded C boarding class to appear on their ticket- Southwest Early Bird Check In.
I tried this one out on a recent flight, and thought it would be appropriate to share when this one is worth it and the other cases when it really isn’t.
