Return from Paradise - What is to Come!

So I am back from the Caribbean cruise far too soon.  The nine day trip felt like an eternity while gone, but seems to have passed in the blink of the eye in retrospect.  We packed in quite a bit of action in to the seven day cruise and I will feature a post or two highlighting each country visited in the coming weeks.  Right now it is uploading massive amounts of pictures to facebook, the photo journal, and sorting through the hundreds of emails I have received while outside of internet access.  Rest assured, regular posting will resume tomorrow with the first post from the cruise.

The following is a brief taster of some of the posts that are on the horizon over the following few weeks:

Carnival Cruise Food Review
San Juan Historical Forts
San Juan Restaurant Review - La Bombonera and Barrachina
St Thomas - Cancelled Excursion and a Snorkel Adventure
Dominica - Bumpiing Tours Waterfall Hike Review  *Favorite Country*
Barbados - Snorkeling with Sea Turtles
St Lucia - COSOL Island Tours Review
St Maarten - Maho Beach, Watch Out for the Planes!
St Maarten - Zip Lining at Loterie Farms
Overall Cruise Report

Of course, mixed in with these posts will be regularly scheduled posting regarding the RTW trip, as I will be sending out my passport for a Chinese visa in the coming few weeks.  Now I want to do actual work even less..

So interested to see how you liked the cruise. I always imagine cruises to be for old people.

In a word: awesome. Yes, there were a lot of old people, but there were a lot of college students due to spring break. I think there is a great divide between cruise itineraries, cruise lines, and the clientele. Lot of 30 somethings on Carnival, and lots of retirees on other lines. I picked our itinerary because of a port each day, which is really the only reason I chose it. The other itineraries I think are good for cruises are Alaska, Hawaii (with South Pacific add on if you have 30 days), and *maybe* the Mediterranean if you only have two weeks vacation. But more of that is coming soon!
