New Contest! 5 Nights in Hua Hin, Thailand at the Baan Talay Dao Resort!

Are you going on a RTW trip soon or possibly heading to Southern Asia for extended travel? If so, this contest is for you! I recently won five nights at the Baan Talay Dao Resort in Hua Hin, Thailand in the Ultimate Thailand Explorer's Contest, but due to strict limitations on the usage dates, will be unable to utilize them when I arrive in Thailand in late December of this year.  After speaking with the manager of the resort, I've been given the go ahead to give away the resort nights and thought a contest on the blog would be the best possible outcome.  (Pictured: Baan Talay Dao Resort website images of the property and rooms)


The Prize

The prize is five paid nights at the Baan Talay Dao Resort for two in Hua Hin, Thailand in a standard room available from now until October 31st, 2010. Great for those who are planning a RTW trip or travel that will make a stop in Thailand during this period.  Approximate Retail Value: $1000*



How to Enter

There are two ways to enter to be in the running for the hotel nights.  The first is by commenting below.  Include your name, email address, and blog link or other social networking ID.  The second way of entering the contest is by retweeting this post on Twitter by clicking the "retweet" button below.  Everyone is capable of getting two entries into this competition so be sure to do both for more chances to win! After the entry period closes, the entrants will be added into a pool and winner will be selected by random.

Contest Duration

The entry period for this contest will be a two week period beginning immediately from the time of posting to March 31st.  At 12am EST (-5 GMT) the contest entry period will close.  On April 1st the winner will be chosen and notified and given the period of 1 week to respond and provide shipping information in order to receive the hotel vouchers otherwise a new winner will be chosen. What I'll Ask of You

The only thing I will ask of the winner is to provide a blog post or two regarding the stay at the resort to post on this site.  One will be dedicated to the resort and room specifically, while the other can be your choice to include a specific activity, restaurant, or site in the area that you really enjoyed while staying there.  Nothing too crazy, just some short reviews with pictures would be wonderful, but we can discuss that at a later date!

*The Fine Print


The following are the fine print stipulations for the contest and eligibility requirements.


1) Vouchers cannot be traded for monetary equivalent
2) Retail Value was quoted via the Ultimate Thailand Explorers Competition.  Actual monetary value for 5 nights in the resort may be lower depending on season.
3) Number of nights can be variable depending on room price of the season, as determined by the resort and room availability during travel dates.
4) This contest is for hotel nights only, no food, airfare, or spending money will be awarded.  Winner is responsible for all applicable bookings, taxes and fees, food, entertainment, and planning for the trip.  I am solely providing the vouchers and any advice if requested.
5) I will ship the vouchers anywhere in the world on my dime, as so long as time allows for the winner to receive them before departing or provides a proper location en route to receive the package.
6) One entry per person per method for a total of two entries.  Spam accounts will be deleted from the running at my discretion.  In order to prove you are not a spam account, a link to a blog or social networking page will help while commenting.  Only those that include all information requested will be entered into the random drawing.
7) In the event that the winner is unable to use the award by October 31st, no alternative prize will be awarded.  The winner will be able to transfer the award as per contact with the resort general manager.
8) Photographs in this post were not taken by me, and are one of the very few on this site that were not taken by myself.  All pictures are hosted by the Baan Talay Dao Resort webpage.
